I like your write-ups. The welded diff one made me cringe a little though. See I have a thing called OCD and I saw all the welding beads everywhere and wanted to take a grinder and dremel and make everything smooth. I took my diff to a welding shop. They used a welder the size of my car to weld it. It turned out really good. And it only cost $50.

I didnt do any grinding. Just had to clean a few beads out. The weld was done with a very high powered machine. The gears actually melted together, it was pretty cool. The gears will never be separated again.

HAHA. That is the one that you have pictures of, right? I read alot of your write ups. I am not trying to diss any of the stuff you did. I just figured I would tell you what I did.

no

the one pictured is done with a Lincoln mig welder. welded on all side bro and has held for 2 years and going with drag drifting and auto-x

it doesn't have to be pretty, i just has to be done correctly.

I fused all the gears together and then filled each side with a full spool of wire. if you welded your half shafs in... that's not good.

ps

no offense taken at all bro.

Welded diff is pretty sweet but sucks for daily driving.
