car runs with afc neo but....

I just finished my KA-T install and i am having a problem with my car running super rich. Also my car starts stuttering above 4000rpm and some times idles like crap but catches itself. So does anyone have some settings for the afc neo that they have that I can use until i get my car to a dyno just so it doesn't run like garbage? Also don't tell me how the afc neo is garbage i know it is but i am stuck with it for now. I am running:
S14 T28 turbo 7psi
SR 370cc injectors
Greddy LS-Spec FMIC
HKS SSQV BOV
Walbro 255 fuel pump
3 in exhaust all the way back
Stock MAF

Thanks

ill correct you first safc's are not garbage.... they have there purpose and i stand by them.

the very first thing you need to do is initialize the safc.... you can get full details from the website within the operators manual.

things you must have set

-hotwire
-arrow pointing up to the right
-4 cly
-maf 2 in 5 out ( this varies )
-set the fuel maps to about 27% across the bored on low maps and stay out of boost.

ok thanks but what should i set the throttle points be at and what should the high maps be set at? I need to be occasionally on boost to get up to highway speeds where i live otherwise i'll be holding up traffic. By the way i don't think the afc neo is garbage but all i hear most of the time is to get a nisstune or JWT tune.

that depends on your foot...

my low map was 28% and high was 30ish.

i have a pretty heavy foot for now im running my low maps at 20% and high at 25% with my throttle set to 10% lo and 50% high and hot wire at 4 in 1 out which for some reason is making it run the smoothest just rich. I can't figure out why its hesitating with heavier throttle but i am realizing tuning this is beyond my knowledge of tuning cars so hopefully i will be on the dyno today or tomorrow. I'll let you know how it works out.

well crossovers from low to hi maps are important.. and bro.. when tuning.. the first thing is normal driving the second is high boost full throttle. every rpm must be tuned.. it takes time. my safc dyno session took about 2 hours 30 min from start to stop and that's pretty quick. Standalone takes even longer as you have to do ignition maps also.

my street tune was only as good as it was because i had an Wideband. however my crossovers sucked because it was pretty impossible to do it on the highways there.

whats are you plug gaps and what is your timing set to??

alright i got it tuned and i made 202hp on a mustang dyno and i was told that on a dynojet i would be making 15% more so not bad. my timing is set to 15 degrees because i am paranoid about detonating and getting a knock. My gap is set to what the fsm says. I was right about running super rich i was at 9.2:1 which shows i don't know what i am doing with tuning the afc. The guy who tuned it said my afr now are almost perfect. anyways it only took about an hour to get it tuned but here are my settings.

Hotwire: 5 in 5 out
RPM: 1000, 2000, 2700, 4000, 5000, 5500, 6000, 6900
Hi Thr: -27, -26, -22, -16, -20, -22, -21, -21
Lo Thr: -28 for all
Thr Point: Lo: 30 Hi: 70
Dec: is factory preset

These seem to be similar to some peoples settings but different from some others. i guess its just my car but i have faith in the guy who tuned it and its running the best it has. But thanks for the help.

if your gap is set to what the fsm says .044... you are hurting yourself. as for timing 18deg is fine.

good stuff though.. however your gapping is too wide.
