RB25 stock turbo worth it for mild build?

so whats up guys, i just had an opprotunity to trade some old wheels of mine for a stock T3 turbo off an RB25.... i've done some reasearch, and came up with a few things.... first, it MIGHT be a ball bearing turbo but it also has ceramic impellers that will break under heavy boost.... i have no plans of running heavy boost... maybe 8-10 at best, and roumer has it they fly apart at around 13-14... so i should be good there... here's some of the specs i've found on it...

RB25 turbo specs -

25t comp wheel 48x66
comp cover .60 a/r
turbine wheel 51x43
.5 a/r turbine hsg
around 300hp

thats about all i know.... i don't know much about turbo charging or anything, but i know i'm goals are around 250WHP... and i've read in the KA turbo bible that a T3 is the way to go for this.... just a question guys... the guy wants to trade this weekend for my motegi MR7 17x7 +40 with 40% tread.....so i figured i'd slowly start pieceing my turbo kit together... it also will be coming with a elbow and BOV (ebay BOV.. will replace with a HKS ssqv later on)..... i figure this might be a worthy investment in the first parts of my KA-T build.... and i love how the turbo has "Nissan" across the front, for that OE look... well let me know your thoughts and give me some suggestions... thanks guys, just wanting to know if it's on okay turbo to work with....

see i just don't know about these things.... and the guys has no history on it, says there's minimal to no shaft play (i'm assuming thats the inner turbine assembly) and it's not in bad shape.... so i dunno HALP!!!!!

decent turbo.. i suggest going to the turbo section however and reading up on turbo 101... its very very good to know what you are getting into.. it will make buying parts simpler

QFT.

I think you're better off with a t25 or t28 like someone else said.

look at the compressor map you'll see this. Should work nicely on a RB20 on low boost though.
"T3/T4" means nothing, that just describes a turbo that has a T3 turbine and a T4 compressor. What really matters are the compressor A/R, turbine housing A/R, and compressor/turbine trims. That said, a properly sized t3t4 should work fine on an RB25, take a look at the flow map for the 60 trim .86 A/R. i don't absolutely need to replace your injectors on a GT30 running low boost. But it's suggested anytime you want to add some power/bigger turbo. For one thing with properly sized injectors you'll be able to add more boost later on and keep your injector duty cycle down. On 6 cyl engine you can estimate injector power capacity as 1hp per injector CC.. Stock RB25 has 370cc injectors which means you can get up to 350ish crank hp before you're maxxing them out. When you do your turbo upgrade you'll probably want to up your injectors and have some kind of fuel and spark tuning device (PowerFC, standalone, Rom tune, etc) to compensate.
hat rpm range do you want to make your power in? What kind of driving will you be doing? This will help you decide compressor trim and turbine housing
Here's a few links to get you started... Also buy Corky Bell's "Maximum Boost" book though, you'll enjoy it and become a lot more knowledgeable about turbo systems and sizing turbos.
