speed daddy turbo?!?!?!?!?!

ok so i have a 1989 240sx (ka24e) i want to swap it out for a ka24de (i already have) and i figured it would be easier to install when the engine is out of the car or at least get everything ready so im looking for turbo kits

ive come acrossed a few 1 by Greddy 1 by turbonetics 1 by cx racing now i found 2 through google its made by speed daddy (1 has more stuff for $800.00 and the other had less for $600.00) now i want to know has any1 ever used this whats the real difference anything major i want to run about 15 lbs of boost can this do it

in other words is it worth it or can u find a better 1 for a little bit more or maybe less

(questions)
1.will it fit right
2.is it a quality kit (able to run 15 lbs of boost)
3.will i need anything else (besides ecu fuel pump and injectors)
4.can i keep power steering (i dont have ac)
5.how much will it cost to install at a shop
6. is it worth it

1. doubt it
2. no
3. no
4. yes
5. a lot more than you expect
6. only if you get a quality kit (garret, turbonetics, greddy, etc.)

Ok? So what you're telling me is that you would rather get a STOCK rb26 rather than building a KA to be more powerful than said rb26? By the way, the engine isn't that expensive, it's putting it in the car that is expensive. The whole kit is $850, my turbo ALONE was $1050. You do not want to use a no-name turbo unless you want to destroy your motor and waste your money.

you say 15 pounds of boost but do you know what that means?

i guess not. different size turbos flow different amounts of air at 15 psi so generally saying 15 psi dosnt mean anything. you need to research b4 you blow $1000 in absolute crap.

if u want a good cheap reliable build you may want too look into Biggamehit's s13 build and go with a Holset turbo but ill tell you right now it isnt gona cost $1000 to finish everything

well the thing is ive heard of the cx racing turbo kit (230whp @ 8lbs of boost stock ecu injectors and fuel pump) well if i start with that as in use everything and slowly upgrade from there like the actual turbo then the bov then wastegate (probly wastegate first ive heard of the cx racing wastegate going bad or messing up) but does that sound like a good idea or should i go all out and spend $4000 ar once to get a greddy kit

or should i buy a intercooler kit and start from there

personal opinion... put your own kit together and learn.

if you are going to buy a kit... its worth your time to buy a quality one.

I started with a ssac kit and oe nissan turbo parts. within about 5 months my setup changed about 3 times untill I got settled with the holset.

Ill start by saying, if you have the money spend it right. Also visit KA-T.org many many people part out entire setups.

If your expereince level is not high and you dont have the means to perform fabrication yourself.. the best method of boost would be to use a T28 or T25 becuase you can use ALLL the Sr parts when coupled with the T25/28 KA manifold. It would require no welding at all if you get a oil drain tap that has the rubber insert and screws.

please review the KA-T Build sticky at the top of the page in the KA-T forum

wait is it the t25/t28 or the t25 or t28 sorry for all the dumb questions i would rather be tagged as an idiot for asking 1000 questions than be the idiot the blew up a 240 and if i went with a t25 or whatever i would have to rebuild the engine right like forged pistons and rods
