i'd search google for 248/240 cam and go to the nico thread that's about 10 pages first.
The 248/248 setup needs adjustments to the timing according to those that use them...however; some of those same people told me certain settings with my 248/232 setup and apparently didn't actually test it (although in posts they have said they did).
When I advanced my 248 cam on intake 2.5 degrees as was stated I lost 30+ hp. I now have it retarded 2.5 degrees and my power feels much much better.
I need to get it back to the dyno to verify.
Greaser has used the 248/248 setup I believe and has dynos on it. Alot is on FreshAlloy which is down right now.
The other setup is the 240/248 setup running -7 and -5 respectively on the cams...a guy named Tre did this along with SAFC and supporting mods and pulled a damn 14.9 in the 1/4 mile.

It would have made no sense not to put the gear in at the same time even if I was going to straight up timing. I didn't not touch my exhaust cam.
Regardless though, with these gears they have to be removed anytime a timing change happens.
