If it was the clutch fan you could hear it get really noisy on the street. It makes alot of wind tunnel type of noise, and is really annoying.

If you have an automatic the clutch fan also prevents the auto from shifting and gearing properly.
I remember when my friend recked his auto 95 and it wouldn't shift out of park from all of the low drag from the clutch fan being locked in the radiator support, but trhat had more to do with idle. If you have an auto it can effect the car and make it feel slower due to the added drag of the clutch fan.

Well I was just going to say something about that.

i would also check your fuel pressure?? Running pig rich ot super lean will ultimately cause the majority of your lag.

Another lag issue could be caused from the timing chain eating into the coolant passage, but that normally doesn't happen on ka's until an AVG mileage of 120,000m. This causes coolant to run into the oil pan causing hydrostatic lock.

Check your TPS, fix that exhaust leak and check the fuel pump to make sure its ok. Like you said if the spark plugs are white your running really lean. Running really rich is better than running lean obviously. Hate to see the dimise of a 60k mile KA due to a simple problem. Also reconnect the wire that were cut or replace the sensor just to be sure. Everything is there for a reason.
