kade swap

okay, so i wrecked my early 95 s14. (obd1). i bought a 89 shell, and i am putting the 95 ka into the shell. so every single writeup i have ever seen simply says use the s13 harness, and then to change the body connector plug. well i dont see why i cant use my s14 harness, its all ran already. is there a different reason why i cant use a s14 harness? and also, when splicing the wires for the body harness connector, is it still the same colors from s13 to s14? thanks in advance. peace.

Randall use your 14 Harness.
Why would use have to use the 13 harness?
The motor assembley is from the 14 is it not?

What the **** is KADE?

lol, i know i planned on it, i was just wondering why every writeup says get a s13 harness, convert the lower intake manifold to behave like an s13, get a s13 dizzy and external coil, and an s13 ecu... i was just wondering why. and also if anyone knows about the dash to engine harness plug.

Why couldnt you just use the S14 block and use everything else from the S13?

The KADE is a no-displacement engine with no pistons, just a solid block.

well i guess its not really a swap, as this shell had no engine to begin with, so i only have the s14 stuff. i was just wondering why all of the guides say when switching from sohc to dohc to get all s13 dohc stuff.. but i got the dash plug thing figured out... i think...

you use the s13 harness cause the plug on the s14 harness that connects to the underdash harness to run the speedo and rpm and stuff are different then the s13 harness.

but so are the plugs between a sohc and a s13 dohc harness, which is why the guides to swap it over says you have to cut it off and change it out. but i dont see why it wouldnt be just as easy to do that with the s14 harness. and not go through the trouble of finding a s13 harness, a s13 dizzy, an external coil, and all of that other bull. just my ;02. but i think i got it under control.

i know its a direct swap, but every single write up for putting a dohc into a sohc body says that you "must" convert s14 dohc's to behave like an s13 one, use the s13 dizzy, use an s13 dohc harness and s13 ecu. i was just wondering why everyone says that is easier. its obd1 95, tho.

airman jackson, im putting my 95 motor into my 89 shell, just to clarify.
