I have two 3 in exhausts that bolted right up to the stock cat, no worries. But if youre worried about it being loud, pick up the Apexi exhaust valve control unit, best 150 bucks spent. I learned the hard way, hence the two exhausts. Went from quality JDM piping to semi decent Chinese knock-off.

Well, good bye homeland made piping, welcome back GP dual! picking up the EVC control unit and selling the N1 knock off.

Good thing about the EVC is that you dont need a silencer and you dont have to mess around with it if you go full throttle, the bad boy gets wide open when you get on the gas. All you need to do is adjust the valve to make the exhaust quiet down. After that its all in how you control your foot LOL

Hey guys, what this means is that I can order a BRM three inch exhaust and bolt it up to my stock 1990 240sx KA24E without any problems nesides a new exhaust gasket? I plan on putting a SR20DET Red Top engine in there and will this exhaust work on it? The flanges must be the same right? Thanks.

Thanks for all the input guys. And Thanks for the pics. looks pretty good. do you have a pic from further behind so you can see the whole rear end? so all i need is some jackstands and im in buisness... i guess the hardest part is getting the old one unbolted ehh? Other than that it should fit perfectly?

Exhaust locations are similar, so if you plan to go SR, then yes, 3in piping off the bat is ok. But beware that 3in piping on an NA KA will be loud unless it comes with a resonator.

Old rusted bolts are hard to pull, but still doable.

IDK, I was kinda skeptical about the whole 3" loud
N/A KA and well, I have a Blitz NUR w/ a Megan test pipe on my 14 and it's not as loud as they say 3" exhaust say to be, but to each his own

and soak them bolts in some WD, you'll be just fine

Looks pretty big. Is it as big as it looks? Man i swear to god the whole world is against me putting any money into the 240. When ever i say anything about it to anyone... they always have something negative to say about it...Does anyone else have this problem?

I can tell you it is night and day. The difference between my GPsports dual 3in vs the PIT 3in w/ resonator and silencer is huge. I get on I-5 and give it 1/2 throttle with my GP and my buddy following me about 100 ft minimum told me that the sound echoed across the highway. The PIT w/ silencer is dead quiet. I have a few friends who have 2.5 in straight pipes, custom straights that arent as loud as my GP. No where near.

Both of my setups had stock header and stock cat, so yeah, sh*ts loud. LOL

I just called a few muffler shops around town. And one guy told me they could put a catback system on for 60 bucks. i think thats pretty good. another guy told me $125 HA! so i'll probably have that other guy do it. If i ever want a testpipe I'll have to do that myself. I don't think anyone around here would put that on for me. The Cheapest i found the Apexi Gt Spec online was $563.70 thats including shipping and everything, thats from GripMotorsports. Does anyone know of a cheaper place online to get it? That was pretty good i thought most other places wanted over 600 easy.
