advance/retarding cams w/ adjustable cam gear

i'm a newb and i was wondering if the n/a guru's can help me out here....i'm waiting on my v2 264/264 cams to come in and i also have a set of the jwt adjustable cam gears. my question is what is the best crank degree(advancing and retarding) i should go with for the intake and the exhaust...i know i should take it to a shop to get it tuned and intalled right but i'm just looking for some input/suggestions(pretty much for me to gain a little more knowledge)...my ka is pretty much stock and i'm just waiting for the parts to come in slowly...

upgrades are:
cai
11lb flywheel
street clutch

on order/future plans:
v2 cams
dc header(4-2-1)
hi-flo cat(i live in cali)
2.5 exhaust piping

Most of these combinations were tried using 248/248, 240/240, 240/248 and 248/240 combinations.
I have no idea what that does with Brian Crower Cams but it's worth a shot.
Good luck to you though when ever you play around with cams you need an SAFC, or some sort of tune to adjust the A/F ratio's, always good to use a wide band too.
