Was it a brand new MAFS or a used MAFS. Sounds like it's bad to me. The cold air intake shouldn't have made that much of a difference. Did the old MAFS go bad? Why did you replace it in the first place?

You didn't use a Maxima or a 300ZX MAFS did you? The car has to be re-tuned for that.

if not the maf what else do you think because it runs fine at high rpms just not a low and it it cuts off at low rpms mostly thats why I think the plugs are fouling out

Your problem actually does sound to me like it could be a faulty MAFS. The numbers match on both the old and new MAFS, correct? And the intake and MAFS were the only two things you changed?

Good point Ramos, did you hook up all the lines properly to your new intake? And did you put the stock resonator box back on or plug the hole that leads to it? If not you're getting way more air then the car thinks its getting.

and that would make it lean.. not rich

i would make sure that your spark plug cables are all in the correct order. also, make sure your MAFS numbers match to the old one. ALSO, make sure that nothing shorted out when your old plug broke off. you might have burnt the maf trace on your ecu and might need a new one now.

Assuming that you are using a G60 MAF you are probably running rich with that cold air intake on.
G60= miss chokes on dick, this means it really does suck badly!!!
I've heard nothing but problems using cold air intakes with the G series MAFS.
Don't know if it is caused from the swirl that isn't taking place directly at the filter to MAF, or if it is the way the HOT WIRE is cooled with the additional piping. In any case most people I know don't like cold pipes with the G MAF.
Make sure the MAF you are using is the correct one 1991-1993 KA24de's used a G60 MAF.
1995-1997 used a G70 MAF.
If you are using any other MAF then you will need a retune or an SAFC.
