aftermarket ignition coils

i've looked on line and found nothing. so my question is, is there any company that makes ignition coils that would be considered a performance coil but uses the stock connector as the oem coil. this is meant for a '89 kae.

i don't plan on getting the entire ignition system at this point nor do i want to start cutting wires. i want something that pops right in if it is out there.

Perhaps one out of a truck would have less resistance, which means more voltage?

well not really. a msd coil is what i finally got and this is how i'll mount it. i would have done this sooner and posted pics but when your working 16 hr a day it's hard cram everything into a single weekend.

i don't work tomorrow and don't have anything planed yet so i might install it and post more pics.

If you have it up and running in the week with detailed pics I'll sticky the thread. These are the kinds of fabbing and modifications that our club members, vendors, moderation, and administration, like to see from our club members, keep up the good work.

i'll see about doing it tomorrow. i didn't think it was anything special so i almost didn't post about it. if you like this you'll love my dual 12" a/c fans mounted on the radiator trigged by two headlight relays.

What you don't understand is that over 85% of our forum members aren't mechanically inclined as we are. It's always good to know that there is only a select few of us that can truly do the work. Some people don't have an imagination at all for fabrication, which is truly a gifted art and talent... What may seem simple to you or I is difficult for others.

This is probably a stupid question, but what is the terminal attached to the bracket you made?

ignition control module, i didn't make it from scratch. i just made changes to the original coil bracket so it would be better suited for what i wanted to accomplish.

If you only knew how many times people have asked me to install one on there OBD1 engines then maybe you would think that it is just more than a coil on a bracket. Some people don't even know how to run the wiring..In any case better gas mileage using the blaster coil, all my friends swear to it that it increases gas mileage.
My finger is on the sticky button...........

Is that the stock connector, which you'll wire up to the ignition? I can't see it connecting to anything.
