aftermarket ignition coils
it's the grounding terminal for the ing. mod. there is a wire that plug into it. i stayed up late last night writing the whole thing up. i'll be gone for most of the day but i'll post the finished results before the day is over

Sweet dude, this makes me want to get one. Have you noticed a difference, in performance or how smoothly it idles? And where are you at dude, its not even 11:00 here yet. Either way, nice write up and congratulations on the soon to be sticky
it's start right up and idles smoother. as far as performance i didn't notice much of a difference even with new spark plug wires and iridium plugs. and about the time i wrote it last night but just got to post is, i'll go back and delete that part.
edit
actually after driving it some more the car defiantly accelerates better. it feels quicker than before but it might be because of the tune up and new fuel pump. also on an unrelated matter my speedometer works again after not working for about two years.
re-edit
after driving for two weeks i've noticed gas last longer than before also. it could be a direct result from the coil or a combination of all the new parts.

jramosthe1st! check it out man, I went ahead and took your important post and made it stickied. I only changed the title of the thread for the sticky, if you don't like it I'll change it.
no you can mount it any where and in just about any position you'd like. however i modified the stock bracket in order to keep the set up looking as clean as possible.
by cas you mean crank angle sensor right?
if that's the case the process doesn't change because the crank angle sensor is part of the stock ignition that is left unaltered. the cas is part of the distributer so nothing gets done with it. i just replaced the ignition coil with a better one that's all.
that car also has the msd ignition system which might change things but i doubt it. i've never a wiring diagram for it so idk for sure but unless you get a performance dist. (which i doubt exists for these cars) then there nothing to worry about.

That s14 is an OBD1 that uses a distributor, not a CAS. S14 OBD2's used the CAS with internal coil not a distributor, as you can see none of the OBD 2 used an external coil. That means if you own an OBD 2 ignition coils are pointless.
The valve cover is also an indicator that it is an OBD1 engine.
