AIV Q and Intake Y Q

As you see in the picture my AIV is temporarily plugged. I am getting a breather for it for now, I may remove it later. Q1: Should it be plugged or get unfiltered air?(Until I get my breather)

Q2: I left the Y adaptor intake piece in there, as I thought it would help control the air to the filter itself. Everyone else removes them. Whats the reasoning behind removing it?

#2 is only a resonator. yea it takes some air from the fenderwhell to the airbox... but the main purpose is a resonator. it's the same as an altima.

I'm wondering the same thing about the AIV hose. Is it better to have it plugged or left open to suck in unfiltered air?
