Unhappy Another 'trouble starting' thread..

Ok, Ive been doing tons of work to the suspension and brake components for my S13 and took out the battery while I was doing the work. I also took off the air intake piping. So when Im done with all my work I put the battery on along with the intake pipe, car starts fine, alittle hesitation, but only a second or so (the usual for me). Run the car for 3-5 minutes and turn it off. I move the tension pulley to the A/C and try to start the car again, starter is running, and I can smell fuel also. But it just wont start. I realise that I might not be getting enough/any air so I ask my friend to try and turn it over, and while he did that I moved the throttle cable to open the butterfly valve on the throttle body, starts up alright.. really rough so I hold the cable untill it warms up and let it go, idle is dead on at about 800rpm. I let the car idle for about 10-15minutes and turn it off, try to start the car again and nothing. I have since then put the tension pulley in its original position.

I know it has to do with the air somehow, but I dunno what it can be. I know the idle is ok because its actually above the 750 mark on the tach. Im guessing a sensor maybe somewhere? I plugged the two rubber hoses up pretty good leading to the intake pipe by the throttle body. Anywhos, anyone have an Idea of what it can be?

Thanks a ton!

My friend had a similar problem with his s13 and it turn out to be the mass air flow sensor. Other than that not sure what it could be.
