best NA KA24DE bolt ons?

hey guys im new to the forum, im buying my friends 92 240sx HB next week and its in really good condition, my question is what are the best motor bolt ons for the money to make this thing alot more enjoyable, ive been driving my 03 SVT focus for the past 6 months, so i want to kinda bring the 240 up to par with it cuz its going to be my daily driver, and i like to have fun.

also the day i pick it up its going to my friends at dynospeed to have a lightweight flywheel from fidanza and a new used tranny put in so that will be out of the way.

After you make sure the car is in good operating condition, a hotshot header, injen short ram, pulleys and an exhaust (2.5" for low end grunt, 3" for top end) would make the car more fun. Don't forget to upgrade the brakes and suspension.

BTW that's pretty original that you like to have fun. What a concept LOL j/k

What company makes the best header for a 91 240SX? What have you all experienced? I heard the Greedy made a 4-1 header, but it is no longer avaliable, to my knowledge.

Another question, sorry if this seems repetitive...does any company make a BBTB for the 91?

Thanks for any comments, recommendations ect...

dc sports will give you the best results, followed by hotshot, then obx, then pace setter..obviously the better it is the more it costs. search for dyno charts RIGHT HERE ON THIS FORUM...Big Vinnie has posted them numerous times of their proven gains. Dont go with 4-1 go 4-2-1...the KA seems to like the design better and it will give you better mid-higher range power...and no there isnt a BBTB that i know of just because our design is already a little bigger, but ou can always bore it out.

DC makes a 4-2-1 header for the KA engine? I've been suring all over for one. Can you refer me to a web site that's go one?

Much appreciated!

Huh, I think the DC is 4-1.

Go Hotshot 4-2-1 design. Fits perfect. Good power. Less expensive.

First, give it a good tuneup, plugs, wires, dizzy cap/rotor, new O2 sensor while the header is out. Thoroughly clean throttle body, MAF, replace PCV valve (amazing what a difference that can make), etc.

Hi-flow cat, 2.5" exhaust, intake. More air flow = good.

Then turn to brakes/suspension/tires.

Once that's done return to motor with pulleys, electric fans, cams if you've got the cash. Do the timing chain as it probably need it.

After that, it depends on what you want to do with the car.

Edit: There's been some luck with using Ford Cobra MAF, but it's not a drop in setup, requires some tinkering...
