i was pulling into autoparts yesterday and all of a sudden my car shut off. i cranked it back up and pulled in thats when it started to idle up and down. so i drove the car home and on the way home i could hear a pinging sound. after about a couple miles it started smoking so i pulled the car over and had my uncle tow it home for me.

i looked at it today and jacked the car up when i look at it the car was leaking water from somewhere and its leaking down from the oil pan i checked the dipstick and its not milky white so water didnt get into the oil. what could be wrong with the engine please help all comments are welcome

did it look like it was leaking from the front of the oil pan? if so its probablya bad water pump. check it to see if you can see signs for leaking.
