Can anyone help me???
I own an automatic '89 240sx and i got the stock ka24e engine and it doesn't want to turn on. I've posted about this before but havent really gotten a good answer on it. Theres gas going in the engine and there is spark but the car doesnt want to turn on. The car cranks over but doesn't turn on. I changed the spark plugs, cables, distributor cap & rotor, new battery and the car still isnt turning on. Can someone PLEASE help me out? Any suggestions or answers will be greatly acknowledged.
Thanxs in advance.

Your neutral safety switch could be bad that is all i can think of, because my 240 used to not start, (it was an auto, I swaped it to a 5-speed) I used to just push the button and it would take forever before it would even try to start. That was before i knew about the safety switch i rigged up a push button to start my car cuz of it, I have to turn the key w/ my left hand (it goes into "strat up mode") and push the button w/ my right hand and it fires up with no problems.
hope this could be of some help to you.

hmm. I would take it step by step and double check everything no matter how minute it might seem.
1. check electrical. Distributor should be checked then spark plug wires then plugs and plug gaps. If those are all correct ensure the firing order is correct.
2. check fuel. Fuel pump then fuel filter then fuel injectors.
3. check air. Make sure the air intake and filter are clear of deprise. Check the cold air sensors, mass air flow sensor. And ensure the throttle bottle valve is opening to get the air/fuel mixture into the intake plenum.
If all of this is in working order than you might need to go into the engine a little to check the vavles, and timing chain. Hope this is helpfull to you. Let me know if it doesn't.

Well he said its getting fuel and spark, so those r out of it. I would check the MAF, cause if its not reading any airgoing threw the maf it wont run.
Do you get any weird/bad noises? Have you checked the computer for error codes ?
EDIT: Also how do u know gas is goin in the engine? Did you pull off the line after the fuel filter? maybe the injectors r frozen or the FPR is messed up.

you do have a neutral safety swich, even tho it's an auto. check it out. (there's only 3 sensors on the trans.. c'mon )
if you've shifted it gears when it was parked, put it in park & rock the car a bit, it'll help it 'snap' in. i know it's dumb but... *shrugs* check what you haven't checked eh?
