code 13

ok i just bought a mac scanner of the snap-on dealer for 200 bucks i think i will sell it and make so money for it. anyways i ran the diganostic on it and it came up with code 13, ect sensor or ect circuit failure. i cleared the code and ran it again and nothing. cool just wondering if anyone here knows what "ect" stands for i checked google but nothin i will keep checking. thanks

You wasted your money if you bought a code scanner for an OBD-I Nissan 240sx.

Error code 13 is Coolant Temperature Sensor.

Yea ECT stands for Engine Cooland Temperature and the sensor is the actual thermometer or sensor itself, and the circuit is the wiring and such between the sensor and the ECU and so-on.

ok i was making sure i ran it again and nothin and JeromeS13 no i didnt buy the scanner for my car it has domestic and import software and some obd-2

huh...i just had this problem 2 days ago. got code 13 and my car isn't running.
hotsauce did you figure out the problem? is your car starting again?
