crappy pics of timing stuff

i got a couple really garbage pics of the broken chain guide.
3 pieces is all that is left of it. the rest fell into my oil pan and that is where they will stay for the rest of their sh!tty lives

the other pic is of the gash the my chain made through the timing cover in to the water duct

there is also a super crappy pic of the tensioner that was chewed up. you cant see it cuz my camera is ultra ghetto. but the chain ate up the rod on the tensioner so it was permenately stuck. causing the chain to just have it's own way with car parts

i'm still poor and don't have a digi-cam so bare with me until i can get one. in the meantime look at the pics and be happy i did something nice and semi-useful for a change

u have to take off the head to change the lower chain, right?

no, just the valve cover, all belts,fan, and timing cover.
the itming cover is sandwhiched between the head and the oilpan on the front of the engine


and i'm getting a digi-cam this week so ........
