cylinder #2 miss

ok engines been running really rough and seems to have a lack of power.. changed the plugs wires cap and rotor still having the same problem..so i let the car idle and pulled the injector harness of each injector one at a time.. when i pulled cylinder # 2's injector the motors idle did not change...ok so there a miss.. the spark plug wire is getting spark.. im not sure where to go from here.. any suggestions.. do u think i need a new injector>>??

wow some good replys :\ .. im getting a new injector tomorrow..anyone know of a how to for injectors replacements?? haynes dont make a book for the 240..anyone know of a coupany that does???

I had the same thing happen to me. Your best bet would be to pull the rail off, and its a ***** trying to get the injector out. just be careful when you put the new one in to get the O-rings lined up right and not break the plastic on the injector. there should only be 3 10mm bolts holding the rail on, and then just pull striaght up. Check all the other injectors while you have it apart too, because I had to replace 2 of mine. If you have any questions, PM me or catch me on Yahoo messenger...ndogg_10@yahoo.com

thanks for the reply ... im still trying to find a maintance book.. i have a fsm for 93 240sx.. but they dont really explain how to remove and replace things... anyone know if chiltons makes a book??? also what shouls i look for on the other injectors??? and should i get ne o rings for all the injectors??

I would get new o-rings...they are cheap, and better than having to take it all apart again. The only thing you can really look for is if something is cracked or if the nozzels are plugged somehow.

it was the injector incase anyone was interested.. replace the injector and fuel filter and bam runs great
