Dash Light Does Not Work!

When I bought my car the dash light did not work. The previous owner said when he put a new cd player in the dash light stopped working. I would appreciate it if someone can help me with this problem.

Did he hack up the factory harness when installing the radio or use an adapter. I have a friend who hacked up the cars harness and the same thing happened, ended up being that a wire needed to be grounded.

^ No you were right i just wanted to clarify if anyone asked.

Nissans dont have a ground in the factory radio harness. they are grounded through the antenna.

Thats why they need an external ground.
