Do I need an o2 sensor with a test pipe?

I want to run a test pipe on my ka24de. Do I need an o2 sensor for it and will there be any problems? Will I need a resistor?

where do you live, what year is the engine, and how many O2 sensors are there on your particular car (before or after the cat)?

plug it in! they are there for a reason. go to a shop get a 12 1/2" pipe bent with two flanges on it and ask them to weld a o2 sensor bung on the testpipe near the same location the original one was, it's not that hard.

EDIT:
P.S. where are you from in canada?

that is where mine is, and it runs fine

if you have an exaust leak before the test pipe it will make a difference on how well it reads the exaust gas.

I have a 92 ka24de. But mine only had the one oxygen senson in the exhaust mani. Why is there a difference between the 91 / 92?
