How do you check the EGR system? My computer is showing a code 32 and indicates EGR problem. I took out the valve and the diaphram is ok there is no excessive carbon buildup in the exhaust pipe and the valve will open when vacuum is applied. Pushing up on the diaphram with the valve mounted on the vehicle and engine at idle does nothing at all. Shouldn't the idle run rough? I should have checked the intake side of the valve where it mounts to the engine to see if it was clogged. But this is a nickle size opening and is quite large. Any ideas or thoughts on how to check and troubleshoot?
