Emissions?

I've recently been rear-ended by a person not looking at the road

I'm replacing the exhaust and cat right now, but i want too with aftermarket since its all free for me. I went to the PDM Racing site and found:

PDM Hi-Flow Replacement 2.5" Catalytic Converter PDM54306

Megan Racing Drift Spec 2.5” Polished Stainless S13 Catback Exhaust (MGNS13D25EXH)

I know the Exhaust isnt 'legal' persay but will it pass smog?

Sorry for the newbish question but i've looked around and couldnt find any answers.

no its not that bad, that sounds like a pretty good idea. if you were in norcal i could have welded up a exhaust for like $100 for you. oh well.

Thanks for the link, from what it looks like it should do the trick then. My friends have worse set ups as for loud/showing exhaust and they rarely get confronted with the cops. From what i can tell this set up will be covered for the most part, so i should be clear.

Thanks again.

the hi-flow cat might not pass the emmisions and the cat back might be over the db limit.

but, they don't check the dbs so just get the cat back and it should pass smog check.
