the one piece design is ment to bolt up to the cat... what you need to do is get a service manual for your car so that you can follow removal and re installation of the manifold... but basically... unbolt the manifold in the correct order... then unbolt the stock exhaust manifold and down pipe from the cat ... you will also have 2 other fittings on the stock exhaust... these will be the hardest to remove... other than heating and working at it with wd-40 i cant tell you how to get it off...the exhaust will come out the top with a little work... then install the new manifold from the top and bolt it up to the cat... might need new bolts if the old ones broke... then install new exhaust gaskets and slide the new header over the studs in the head... torque to specs and in the correct order... connect the other fittings one goes to the egr valve one goes to the air valve... start it up and check for leaks...

some people report that taking the steering colunm loose helps give more space. on my de installing the hotshot was a little tight for space. and pb-blast the crap out of the bolts. exhaust bolts are notorios for corroding and stripping or rounding out on you.
