Few questions about the gas on S14's

My friend has a few questions about his car, and I figure I'd ask for him on this board.

Here we go:
Does the 95 240SX have a gas light?
What's the size of the gas tank?
If it has a reserve, what's the size of that?

Thanks for the help =]

nissan likes the 2 gallon reserve. it's on all first and second gen altimas and various other models.

this may explain the 2 gallon difference you have.

well, to fill past 15 gallons, you'll have to use more than 15 gallons... if you REALLY want to try, drive around until you run out of gas. push it to the gas statioin, and find out how big the tank is!

Umm... when the pump stops, you stop. If you pumped 15 gallons in, then obviously there's about 2 gallons left in there.

Unless you drained it til the car died, pulled out all the fuel left in the fuel lines, fuel filter, etc. and THEN went to the gas station... but what in the world is the point of doing that? Heh.

RE: my car (95 SE) has a low gas light, and it works.

you drove till your car stalled out? How do you know it was the whole tank. You have ~2 gallons left when the light comes on. And I belive you can't even use the last gallon because there isn't enough fuel to maintain pressure when you get that low (at least thats the way it is in G20's). You will always have something like 1 gallon at the bottom of the tank if you drive till it stalls.

Like I said, "Unless you drained it til the car died, pulled out all the fuel left in the fuel lines, fuel filter, etc. and THEN went to the gas station... but what in the world is the point of doing that? Heh." and DaPCWiz is right - you can't really use the last gallon without depressurizing the whole system and flushing it out.

If you really want the satisfaction of pumping 15 gallons, pour 1 gallon into a gascan in your trunk =P

i don't think i've ever filled past 14 something.

THOUGH, i'm sure most of you guys didn't deal with this. since that HUGE blackout a few years ago, i told myself i would fill up right after it passes the halfway mark (about 200 gallons).

why? heh, we were without power for about 5 or 6 days i think. and yeah... not much was open as far as gas stations, and the ones that were open, you had to wait several hours and hope they didn't run out.
