Free mods

i've heard a few people talking about some free mods you can do. egr block off, coolant bypass, and ignition timing. i'm sure theres more so if anybody has done some of these please post what and how you did it cause i'm sure there are alot of people who would be very interested. i'm very interested in advancing the ignition timing on my e but i'm not sure how or to what. also lets keep this thred on track so nobody post any stupid coments or start to talk about sr motors please.

there is some method of makin th eFans stay on all th time... believe the big belt fan comes off as part of it as well, hence why you won`t see my ka runnin that way. apparently without th belt fan, air doesnt get pulled in unless the car is moving in the traditional straightline type of angle. no good for those who prefer not having 100% traction in th rear tires on a frequent basis, y kno?

timing advance seems to be the best...i dont know if you have to be a member to view these posts but they completely cover timing advance for power gains, what gas to use, what to expect etc

wait is this only for KA engines that have been turboed since your second link is on the ka-t.org site.

has anyone tired this before. also anybody know how to do the Emissions bypass and the coolant bypass(intake manifold and TB)

Do these procedures (advance timing, bypassing, etc) have a bad effect on the engine?
