g70 maf, safe for na ka.

g70 maf, safe for na ka.

well my friend gave me this maf and the last 3 symbols are g70. will this be safe to run on a ka. i just have an intake. no emissions. ngk spark plugs. new oem wires. thats all. just my dd. thanks guys.

now when i think about it. watever car it came from. it will probibaly cause me to run rich. i wonder how i would remedy this problem. if i were to put it in.

s13 KA24de's use a G60 your only remedy is an SAFC.

Although the G70 looks a lot like a 300z MAF it is not. The diameter of the G70 is smaller than the Maxima N60 and the 300z N62 MAFs.
It was used on the 1995 model year KA24de engines. It's air MASS properties are really no different than using the G60 MAF which comes in the 1991-1993 240sx KA24de's. If you wanted to use it on your KA24de that is an s13 what you need to do is a 5in/6out, with a 1in/1out function.

the wires that come off the mafs plug only has 3 wires. and i notice on my maf plug it too has 3 wires. can i just solder them together? as in use this in mine. thanks vinny. your lots of help.

I wouldn't recommend soldering it in unless you are going to use a 95 OBD1 ecu for your s13, or in fact you will be getting an ecu retune, or using the SAFC.
You should look at the wiring diagram in the 95models found in the FSM so that you don't cross wires and that it would be properly grounded it's not a direct plug in from wire to wire.
