Sick SX

Hey guys Ive got a problem. The other day I was fooling around with my friend, doing some burnout, and sliding around. On the way home i notice my gas gauge going up to F when I only filled it up half way. What do you guys think this could be? If you know what it is, whats the estimated cost in repairs? Thanks for the help in advice guys.
