Head swap

got a quick question. i have been looking it up and read that if you put a dual cam head on a single cam motor you get better compression. I was wondering if this was true and if i did it would i have to use the single cam computer and wiring or would i have to use the dual cam wiring and computer. thanks in advance for the help

You would have to use KA24DE wiring harness and ECU, also you would have to change the front cover from the KA24E to the KA24DE front cover and you would have to swap out vacuum lines. It's a lot of work and swaping, why not just get new KA24DE and bore it to fit the KA24E pistons? it's about the same amount of work.

ive never heard of it. the only thing ive heard about combining the two motors was putting the sohc pistons into the dohc for higher compression.
