OK...well my car just recently started sounding like a giant fan and i have no idea whats wrong... i have a feeling the heat has something to do with it, but im not sure.... any help would be appreciated greatly

Also... my belts are squeaking pretty bad.. maybe thats got something to do with it too... but the heat is definetly what causes that because it only does it during the day

 

Tighten the belts..that'll stop the squeeking.

..and there is a fan in there..

i planned on getting new belts... but the fan problem is different than just a fan.... it sounds like the fan is louder now.... is it just the heat or something else?

 

My guess would be that it is your fan clutch as I changed mine to fix simular simptoms. It seems like the heat is causing your fan clutch to lock up, so it is constantly spinning at the engine rpms. Once rpms go above 3000, your belt probably starts to slip.

Problem fixed.... you were probably right, but i just threw in some fans out of a 95 altima and they work great... thanks tho
