higher compression

How much of a power gain is to be expected with 10.5:1 pistons?

we found a gain of 13 hp when going with a set of 10.5:1 pistons... or doing the sohc piston and rod swap...getting the higher 11.0:1 pistons might get you a max of 18... higher compression also means greater ignition control is needed or you will run into detonation problems... and you will have to run the highest grade fuel you can find...

What octane did you run that 10.5:1 with?

Did that power come pretty equally in the rpm range or more in certain areas?

What other mods did you have when you got that 13hp difference?

Anyone know the answer to that stuff?

Also, does anyone spray with higher compression? How much are you spraying and what extra precautions did you take?
