Hmmm Stinky exhaust

My exhaust smells at idle. Im runnig rich, VERY RICH. Thats not the only problem, Im starting to see my exhaust change colors by the welds. Like if u left a torch on a pipe. A exhaust pipe gasket is burning. My check engine light is on and I know i have to run it again. B4 i was told it was a crank sensor. Then I was told it something to do with the tranny. Then I did my tranny swap. Know as far as i know the light will stay on cuz I still have auto ecu. Any suggestions

It's a stock KA. Just an exhaust. i just found out that my car is a Cali emissions car. I have 2 cats. 1 of them might be clogged. I'm takin out 1 cat, and changin the other. I'm puttin new spark plugs in(wires are fairly new) And I'll change O2 sensor. I'll see what happens after that.

if the exhaust is pretty new it's gonna fade a little and the inside will get black. also the heat changes the metal some. it won't look like the piping did when it was new. it'll also get a little more quiet.

hope that helps
