So I have a 1990 240, with the SOHC engine, and the plastic intake pipe that is connected between the throttle body and the longer intake pipe is horribly cracked.


Now my question is can I use an intake that is for the DOHC(KA24de) motor on this? Cause I have been looking on ebay and they dont have any generic SRI's other than just strictly the filter when you search under intake for the KA24e. The only differences I can see between the two is that it looks like I will have to extend the hoses connected to the longer intake piece a bit to come on to the otherside of the intake (the side closer to the engine).

Another question is what do I do about this hose that goes from the filter box to well, whatever the hell box that is.

DOHC intake does not fit, the throttle body outlet is slightly lower on the DOHC, you will have to get an intake for the SOHC. The other hose is for the AIV, you can remove the entire system completely, or just put a small breather where the hose is.
