dohc compression is like.. 9:1 or something, and sohc is like.. 11:1
so your going to get more tq out of a sohc 240.. then a dohc..

yeah someone else told me to put sohc pistons in with new rings on them... but my guestion is..... IF i do that can i add turbo without blowing anything?

yes you can if its forged internals and low amount of boost.. and omg wow this post is old... way back when i DIDNT know anything.. boost is nice and fun and all.. but can be expensive... so can going all motor... id rather go all motor and rev to 9k that sounds narly and is tuned properly... and btw its only 11.7:1 if you put the sohc pistons in a dohc... and stock compression is 9.5:1....

Correction
KA24E has 8.6:1 compression
91-94 KA24DE has 8.6:1 compression
95+ KA24DE have 9.5:1 compression

really? my 91 had 9.5:1 compression.. and my friend has 9:1 on his 24E and both of us had ~175k miles both of us had same motor that came in the car non rebuilt.. doesnt matter i have a 96 now anyways and im going to go all motor :-p
