hi ive only had this problem recently before 3 months ago only happened once. when i drive around like 5 miles then turn off the car and try to start it up its stars revs go up to 1.3-.5 to idle then instanlty drops down to 500 boggs for a while and dies i try hitting the gas but nothing happens. the 1st time i fixed it cause spark wire #3 was a lil ripped i recently checked the wires and #2 was a lil burnt in the distributor end so i replaced all of em and it still does it my friend says it might be the fuel pump i dont know any help guys would be nice before i spen $$$ in the mechanic. so far im thinking fuel pump/maybe filter/distributor/voltage spiking/vacum maybe cause i never noticed this but when i hit the gas i hear like a sucking noise coming from a vacum hose in the intake.oh an by the way i recently clean the throttle body but i hooked everything up right =\ any help appreciatted.

timing might be off or your fuel filter could be clogged

clean out ur maf with some intake/throttle cleaner... and tell us how it runs...

yea or make sure your o2 sensor is connected mine came apart and did the same thing so check that...if what nissanflip does not work

apparently it was the fuel filter cause ive used fuel system cleaner on the gas ive filled up before man iguess alot of gunk came out i upgraded to z32 fuel filter man i notice some difference

Yea same crap happened to me but yours dosent sound that bad mine was worse it did the same thing but the whole engine shaked around like crazy and it had the same problems. My dad is helping me check whats wrong with it today i hope its not anything bad otherwise im just going to get the sr20 later on this week.

It sounds to me that is the fuel system failure! Well, check the fuse, fuel filter, and pumps!

My dad fixed it finally and it was a bad connection to the distributor cap... dont know exactly what it was though but yeah something around there. It also had the same symptoms as chiroke ka.
