I have a 1996 240 and it has 2 cats and 2 O2 sensors. The first cat comes off the exhaust manifold and it is completely broken off the flange that connects it to the manifold. I was wondering if anyone has had a similar expereice with this. The prices are VERY high for a new front cat on this and i need some help. I saw a 1995 for 200 bucks but it is not OBD2 and it wont work unless someone knows a way . Anyways someone reply ASAP thanks

 

well the second cat is a dummy, you could get away with getting a header and an acual cat and you should be fine.. but thats what i been told and read... but maybe it helps out

 

I checked the Nissan parts system, and the catalytic downpipe (what i like to call it) shows up as the same part number from the 95 and the 96 240sx..... So if you wanted to use the 95 one... you should be able to no problem. Good luck brotha.....
