Unhappy motor trouble

ok so i picked up my first 240 and it was running great and then all of the sudden out of nowhere the rpms kinda jumped down real quick and then back up, like real quick like it was backfiring or osmething and it woudl keep jumping like that and then it stalled out and the lights andeverything went out. Im not sure what this would be since ive NEVER had anything liek thsi happen to me in any car before. Im not sure if it oculd be a distributor or fuel pump problem but i dont know what would make the car's lights and everything cut out like that. its did it all the way home on and off too but only died on me one more time...i am really pissed off since i now have to take it in to get fixed RIGHT after i bought it.

yeah, it could be a lot of things
pump not working, vacuum leak, bad injectors, filter bad, etc

Let us know what it ended up being, how much are you being sharged to diagnose it?

Does it only stall out when stopped?

oh yea i talked to someone today before i went to work and they said it might be a loose ground to the battery...and i remember the battery's ground looked kinda loose, so im gunna check that...OK i went out there and it is DEFINETELY the ground connection....****in fell right off when i jiggled it...so i am just going to buy some better connectors for the terminals instead of keeping these pieces of crap that make it look like the terminals were wrapped in tin foil...
