not lookin for a rebuild kit because my block is in bad shape, but I've found http://remanufactured-engines.com/index.html and I've also got this sitehttp://www.atk-engines.com/display_engine.cfm the I'm lookin at about 2,300 with shipping and witht he core charge included for the second link, and with the first link with shipping and core charge I'm lookin at around1,905 but then I'll get back a 300 dollar check for the core when they recieve it, and I would just like to know if anyone has had any experiance with these companies or what could be recommended, thanks

the 1st one looks shady, the second one looks more professional. I havent heard of either but if ur going to get it at all get it from the second guys.

BTW with that $ you can get KA24DE with not that many miles and still have $ left over for sum mods. Thats wat id do...

I've thought about gettin a used ka from action auto wreckers but I'd like to be sure I wouldn't have to end up a year or so down the road puttin more money into it to have any motor work done, cause this is gonna be my primary vehicle, the engines from action auto do have warrenties available but they are only valid if you have a certified mechanic install it, which cost alot so I think I'm gonna save up for the ka from atk engines, unless anybody knows where I could get another one

Just tell them you want a compression test. If not just go to a wrecking yard and do it yourself................
You can do the test, find out it is a good engine and pay around $800.00.
