need some help

hello everyone. I have been on this forum for a while, but never posted. Well now I have a problem I just can't seem to figure out. I recently bought another s13, 1993 se automatic, and it runs fairly well. The problem is when I turn either left or right, say like turning out of a parking lot or at a light, the car bogs down or sometimes shuts completely off. I have never seen anything like it, and since my wife can't drive a manual tranny car, this is her only mode of transportation right now. I really hate to just trash this car, but after dying in rush hour traffic and nearly killing my wife and 2 year old daughter, not mention the other drivers and passengers, this car may be on its way to the heap!

i could be off but this happened to a buddies Honda. If you check the wiring on the Power Steering pump...or just replaceing it, it could fix your problem

Power Steering Pressure switch.

Driver's side of the engine bay

Follow the line from the hose from the Power Steering tank down to near the frame rail. The switch should be the only thing down there with 2 wires going to it.

When the switch senses pressure, the ECU increases the idle enough to keep the engine from bogging down.
