New crank?

Ok so I finally got my new rod bearings in gave my car a good 30 min idle to let her get lubed up..took her for a test ride 5 miles down the road the motor started knocking again...So now I need a crank.Does any one kno where I can get a good crank...Should i replace my rods too.And if you have to drop the crankI kno the tranny has to come off and all but doesnt the timing chain and all have to come off to.Can some one please help me.

i would assume the timing chain has to come off considering it is driven by the crank.

just buy new short block. you are going to have to drop the motor out of the car no matter what you decide on.

why did'nt you check your crank when you replaced the berrings?
you could have used plastigage to check berring clearance. would have saved a lot of time.

nah its kool I kno your not raggin me its just I never did this before so I never had a clue that the journal needed to be fine untill it was all put together.Im very mechanically inclined but I never knew that the smallest stuff in the crank can cause so much problems...does any one kno where I can buy a long block?
