Newbie S14 intake question

Hello all,
I am new, just bought a 96' 240sx and found that there is a intake plastic tube comes out from the engine and goes on top of the radiator and then nothing, somebody put a cloth there to cover the hole and I can feel air sucking through that hole when engine runs (runs poorly), WHAT is after that plastic tube, looks like there is something missing on the right hand side(if you are looking from the front) behind the driver side headlight. Also I can find two plugs dingling over there.
Can somebody help and tell me what I need.

thanks

CAI

CAI = Cold Air Intake, and the injen setup runs you about $270 give or take a few bucks. Or you could get a short ram setup which would cost you much less.

One of the wires connects to the airflow sensor, and the other is a tempurature wire. It sounds like you are missing the airbox and the sensor. Which would explain why it would run like crap, but i dont think it would run at all, but maybe.

You should probably fix that A.S.A.P.

Haha I guess it could also run like crap because it has a cloth as the airfilter. Thats almost as good as using a stocking, lol.
