no response from throttle help please

been having problems with my 89 240
around 4500-5000 rpm car feels like it shuts off (no response from throttle) and turns on when rpm drops to 3000 rpm....happens on 3rd,4th, & 5th gear.

I'm having the same problem with mine, I found that for some strange reason, when it bogs out like that, pushing in the clutch and pressing the throttle a few times brings the fuel back sooner than waiting for the rpms to drop. I still haven't figured this one out though so any info would benefit both of us. Anyone?

dude thats ur tps replace it PS. pushing in the clutch and hitting gas works?? wrrong just tap the gas a lil with out hitting the clutch i also tought it was my cluch but after it still did it after a put in a brand new clutch i figuired had to be electrical

i've noticed that just pushing in the clutch and releasing it works w/o tapping the gas pedal.....

beacuse when u push in the clutch and let go the gas the rpms go down and the a/f changes check the voltage on ur tps im tellig u thats ur prob ive had it BTW have u done a 5speed swap to ur car?? my 2 cents

If it was the TPS sensor I dont think it woudl be an RPM thing. The TPS faults out at a position in the throttle. So if you floor it then you would have no power immediatly, or part throttle or wherever it has the open at. Losing power at a specific RPM I think is something different.
