Noise underneath car

I have a 1995 240sx with a new noise when I rev it somewhat hard. It sounds like it's coming from underneath the car (tranny?) and is a grinding noise. I checked the fluid and it is WAY over, about an inch onto the wire. At idle and when slowly revved it sounds fine. Also when revved to ~3K if I quickly take my foot off of the gas it does it. Thanks for any help.

not sure, but you should never have your fluids OVER.

Over means TOO MUCH, thats not good. I can cause sludge and buildup because it isn't aloud to move around as freely as it should. Fix the levels, not sure about the noise though, i'd have to check it out in real life.

Well, I didn't overfill. I haven't owned the car long, and it was like this from the previous owner. It also sounds like it could be a vibration. I'll try to get a sound clip up tomorrow.
