Water pump, it happened on my friends grand prix, was really easy to fix on his car, not sure about ours. I dont know if I would buy a stock water pump though to replace it, I might look at and aftermarket one if I were you. But then again I dont know the advantages/disadvantages.

Congradulations! You my friend are the new owner of a head gasket! Sorry to be so sarcastic but I have a 92 Plymouth Laser (turbo AWD) and I did the same thing. My head gasket blew so I flushed the radiator put on new water pump and spent a bunch of money but it ended up being the head gasket. Mine like yours didnt have coolant in the oil or white smoke from the tail pipe. If I was you I'd pull the head off and check the head gasket. Then before you just put a new one on and bolt it back down take a straight edge and put on the head and the block to make sure their not warped before you get everything put back together and your still leaking coolant from the head (I know from experiance!) Good Luck.

i think it was my radiator since now its running fine....i haven't overheated since but there seems to be a small leak coming from the back of the engine near the passenger side

it runs down from behind the starter....i can't see...any ideas to where the leak is coming from or how i can fix this problem?

It's your a/c man, it's from the condensation. You could just let leak, move your car out of the way, get a napkin or white towel, and if it's clear than it's from your a/c (which is normal) and if it's green then you know you got a problem.

I have the same problem but only if i let the car sit at idle for at least than 5 minutes and so as i get up to about 30mph the temp goes back to normal. No leaks of any kind, fan works. Did your car overheat while driving or was it only at idle like mine?
