Question redlining above 6800

i was wanting to know what is the highest redlinablity of a ka24de or a sr20de not det's. I am wanting to rev higher and stay na but if not possible i will be inducting it. i have a turbo jsepc mr2 and am wanting a na car for the the ones that say that its all in the turbo. the high and longer the rev the longer you will stay in your peak power range which equals faster times.... i do belaeve.... correct me if i am wrong

ur correct.
but force induction wont make magic revs.
max revs on a reasonably stock KA is around 7000-7500. but u are not making power about about 6500, so theres no point. u go slower shifting at 7000 redline.

sr20de will rev higher, like 8k stock, i dont know too much about those.
remember tho, ka stock, 155hp. sr20de stock 140 hp.
so paying more for the sr20 rwd motor might not be such a great idea unless u want some sick itb, tomei, $$$ goodies.

thanks for the info i was also wondering why it seems to lag as i get closer to redline. Even if i don't gain any hp after 5500rpm's or so i would still be in my power band loger thus creating better times right.

Yeah, me too. I have a 1995 240sx and it lags on the higher RPM range. I've tried to get it high, but it takes forever to get there. I heard that cams can fix this? am I right?
