Replacing Front Main Seal

I searched but didn't come up with anything. How hard is it to replace the front main seal on the KA24DE? Can it be done with the motor still in the car? I am so close to a SR swap that I can blow in it's ear but in the meantime the KA in my car is a good engine and I do all I can to maintain and keep it up. There is timing chain rattle which I'm going to fix, thanks to Airman Jackson's write-up, and now I have a leak from the front main seal but other than that the engine runs strong and has plenty of life left in it.

pretty sure you have to drop the oilpan for this one so you can get the bottom timing cover off. if so its not that hard, i helped a freind pull an oil pan.

Fuc% man it is the worst thing to fix. Rear seal is a cake walk compared to the front seal...

I made a great discovery..... with my old KA.. you can simply pop the seal out and slide a new one in.. all you have to do is take the belts and pully off.. carefully insert a flathead into a section of the bearing and pry inward.. WAmmmy
