Yes you can swap a KA24DE for he KA24E. But that is about as far as my knowledge on that swap goes. Try seaching around, ther should be tons of info on this.

it says he has a 1993, so it would be KA24DE to KA24DE, chances are the s14 engine is OBDII, if that is the case you will have to swap out the exhaust manifold I believe to your s13 manifold. What problems are you actually having

Have fun! S14s are OBDII. You have a few things you need to do before it will work properly or even pass emissions.. if you have to do that in your state anyway.

I didnt know that 93s had the KA24DE. why would you swap the 93 engine for a S14 KA24de? Im not trying to be a smartass or anything, but are there any advantages of swapping an older KA24DE for a newer KA24DE?

if the old motor is trashed and you can only find a newer motor... that is one reason... sometimes that is all you can get... either way it is still the same motor just the emissions crap is different... all of the plugs are the same...

well heres the problems...i get spark, i get fuel, and timing perfict, only problem is there are i cant getit to start. i looked up ALLDATA and the manis are totaly dif i notcied. so im guessing there is a lot of extra sensors like i think the s14 engine has a map sensor witch my car dosent have. so my freind said the only way to get it to run isto swap the manni with an s13 and i would be set. isthat true? also the reason for the swap was cuz itwas the only ka24de i could find.

thanks alot for the help guys!

well we recently put a ka24de out of a 95 into my 90. Everything is fine and we didnt change none of that except I got a s14 header and downpipe, and just had the exhaust shop take care of the rest. We sent the wiring off to a professional and had them do that and just got a s14 ecu, engine, and etc. got the wiring done swapped it in and it works fine no problems at all, im not sure how many other people done it that way but from what I hear if you dont do that then I hear you have to do all them changes. In class, ill type more when I get home.

FYI Not all S14's are OBD2, like mine (early 95 model)
