Should not hurt a thing to loose the seat belt controller. It does nothing but control the automatic seatbelts and also the seat belt light on the dash. I’ve done many swaps to normal seat belts in witch the controller was taken out, with no repercussions.

removing your seatbelt ECU will create a cataclismic round of events eventually resulting in creating excesive amount of belt buckling and posible arm strain. other than that, you might as well remove the motors that move the seatbelt thing in the door, they are located behind the rear pasenger side panels (on each side). you'll have to figure out a way to make the seatbelt lock thing remain in its place. If you are removing the whole thing and using some 4 or 5 point harnes, then remove the whole thing. I'm guessing the ECU, some cables and the two motors will get you no more than 15 pounds off.

That was freek’n hilarious! I just about shot coke out my nose. It caught me by surprise! Anyway I’ve always just welded a new bracket in place, mostly just to the B pillar. In most that I have done we did a roll cage and 4 or 5 point harnesses.
