Soft Clutch Pedal

I just recently bought a 91 240 coupe. Had a rattle which was just a broken top timing chain gide bracket. Took it out, car is fine now. I did all the basic fluids like radiator and oil. Changed spark plugs, still has same plug wires, and there's some oil in the cylinders. I replaced the rubber valve gaskets. The clutch pedal is soft, softer than my 92 fastback w/hicas. Is this normal? Oh yeah, my 91 coupe is just the base model.

Thanks........

?How come there isn't a lot of hicas equipped 240s out there? My hicas light is on, can anyone help?

Thanks again.......

Hmmm...when you say its soft is it like it you have to put the pedal to the floor before it engages? HICAS wasnt very big...because it just wasnt

The hicas was apart of the crem brule... it was the top of the package basically the most expensive model 240 you could have boughten back in 91-93... i found the sticker tag for when my car was at the dealership basically 10 years ago..lol what a classic..

as for your hicas light being on.. make sure you power steering pump isnt leaking any fluids, also make sure your reservoir has some fluid in it...

The pedal is just softer on my 91 coupe than my 92 fastback. The clutch is still good, but I'm just wondering if this is normal. It's soft like the honda's.

Oh yeah, I started my coupe and my motor shook like crazy at about 1000 rpm, and when I revved it up past 3000rpm it went to normal and as it warmed up the motor was ok. Is it something I should worry about?

2.4 liters you better be feeling a little zizzle lol think about it man... yeah its fine

and the soft clutch pedal... try cleaning out your slave clinder and get rid of air pockets in there.. basically flush it and make sure you flush it right... i love having all these cool tools to help me make life easy

kasinglec that might be caused by a bad throw out bearing... not putting pressure all the way around on the pressure plate fingers... or the bearing could be ging bad and dragging... meaning there is no more lube in the sealed bearing... i dont know how much your abuse your clutch gets... but extreme heat can distroy the bearing rather quick...

thanks wikd240, I actually replaced my throughout bearing and the vibration continues. the wierd thing is it goes in and out, sometimes smooth and sometimes vibrates. I think the problem is bad motor and tranny mounts. I've got a sensor going out so the motor will run well and the not, its back and forth. the vibration correpondes with the engine running poorly. and yes, tones of abuse(pizza delivery)
